In Romania are thousands of children who won’t celebrate Christmas due to circumstances. They live in orphanages, are Roma and/or live far under the poverty line. We feel that every child should have a Christmas and Christmas presents. And that’s what we will give them.
In August Lia & Wim Bos, of Wim Bos Transport, visited a project in Gherla, Romania with a truck full of aid.
When they arrived they met Delilah, and she took them to several villages in the region where the aid would be delivered.
In one of the villages they met a girl, 19 yo, whos mom left her sister and her a few years ago. Because she had to take over the care for her sister she had to quit school. But now she won’t even be able to send her little sister to school because there simply isn’t enough money. She got married a while back but her husband is in Germany to earn some money and she just don’t know if he ever comes back.
A lot of children like her are left on their own but never learned how to stand on their own two feet. In this village is just one person who has a refrigerator and many houses don’t even have glass in the windows and have leakages and are way too small. The furniture is invested with bacteria and fungus and children are unhealthy and often sick.
Together with Lia we want to help the children in Romania wherever we can. But we can’t do this alone and would like to invite you to help us wrap presents, bring wrapping paper or even toys (NEW!).
On October 8th and 9th we will wrap presents at our warehouse at Rijnkade 21, Weesp. If you are able to help us let us know.
Donations are also welcome so we can cover the transport costs.
Together we can give these children a great Christmas.
